I think its very likely that Shinji will be the one to defeat Aizen. I think that Aizen's relationships with his subordinates, especially hinamori, hinted at his relationship with shinji. i have a feeling that Aizen probably felt betrayed when shinji left soul society, and that calm collected facade that Aizen puts on will dissolve when he sees shinji again. I think it will be something like Light at the end of deathnote.
