I think He's close to Fate in power, but i want to see the Duplex Complexio in action before i make any real calls on it.

what about some combo spell with that spell he used to destroy the giant floating island ?

and I think negi is at fates level...if he used konokas power he could heal, asunas sword for magic cancelation...nodokas book to read opponent, and his own new spells..what else could he need ?

Bwahaha, it's about time my favorite gets his time in the whole thing. Kotaru is just beastly, hate that Rakan is so strong though, at least he owned Kagetarou. Negi just keeps getting stronger and stronger, I don't want to imagine how strong Nagi really was. Can't wait for the next chapter, hope we get to see some awesome new magic.

the level of Negima is seriously getting close to DBZ, there pure destructive ability isn't as high, but the abilities are way greater, and f^ck that was an awesome as hell chapter, seeing this makes the negi / fate fight so hard to wait for

at first I thought it was more of a "it looks like negi's spell has the upper hand"
but after seeing there was a trap and remembering what she said, it seems like she saw through it

Looking at the fight he seems to be at least to a level close to Rakan, also don't forget Rakan placed himself at a higher ranking at fate so if you think about it, it looks like this:
(Before Training)
Fate>Negi
(Rakan Listing)
Rakan>>Fate>Negi
(After Training)
Negi=Rakan(or slightly lower)>Fate

wow that was a sick chapter and negi manages to amaze everytime
but how the did he manage to absorb Rakans attack,somehow he used magic erebea(with the absobation circle) and than complexio to absorb it
well,I think that was it,but still I don't get it,where did he learn that
