so? what proof do you have that it's impossible to reverse the direction?

and it doesn't completely follow real life rules. people in real life cannot punch as hard or move as fast as the people do in this manga.

also, if you claim that it's impossible to change the dempsey roll's direction, then i'm going to say it's also impossible to bring the dempsey roll to a complete stop, and then resume it at the same speed that it was going at before.
and i'll also say that it's impossible to punch so fast that an entire audience sees it first and then hears it seconds later.

i was mostly referring to the fact that some people can knock someone who's blocking from one end of the ring to another in one punch.

hajime no ippo is really realistic but it does take things a little bit far. not that that's a bad thing

I think I hate Ippo I just read chapter 512 after his title defense against that evil guy. He got his ass kicked in a spar against that rookie who is Manabu Itagaki's rival.

Why does Ippo always have to suck against everyone he fights? For once I would like to see him actually look like he knows how to fight.

it's been a while since i read that part but...
hadn't ippo just recovered from injuries at that point? and even if that's not the case, keep reading. he's slowly becoming more and more BA with each fight he's in. seriously, don't stop reading. at least not until after ippo vs. scratch j and ippo vs. malcolm.

so since no else has, i guess i'll bring up the newest chapter...

i'm kind of glad that we get to see the smash in action again, but i'd much rather see sendo use than jungle boy over here. and it didn't really even look that powerful. i guess woli's version focuses a lot more on the speed of it, and it looked like he used it to get around ippo's guard, rather than going through it like sendo does.

which is actually what the real-life smash was designed for, so maybe woli deserves some credit... but probably not.

does anyone actually know when the next chapter is, it drives me crazy when one week it just doesent come out

usually if it doesn't come out one week, then there will be one the next week. i don't know what the official release schedule is, but there are usually two releases a month, occasionally three.

and yes, it is annoying that it's so inconsistent, especially since the fights are already really long (which most of the time is a good thing, but for boring fights like this one, it sucks).
