Yeah darks their strong point some humor is cool but a gag manga is ridiculous

Imagine death note if it was filled with comedy ... would you read it ?

it's like mixing opposite genres, comedy fans may dislike dark manga, and vise versa, it seems majorly risky to me

i think there were bits of comedy in death note mainly from L and Ryuk

Yeah but that's what I mean by some humor Ryuk was funny and it worked.

there was like 5-10 comedy based lines in 110 chapters ... doesn't say much
if you mean like that, I don't really mind, but that definately wouldn't be called a dark comedy imo

take berserk for example which is obviously "dark" but it has puck in it that always makes me laugh, so a dark manga with comedy in it aint impposible

I see, you have a point there, well that could also depend on perception of comedy, I mean some people find things funny which others would not :/ I think it would be easier to add comedy to a dark battle type manga like beserk then a dark mystery type one, but I can see I'm not going to win this argument so I'll leave it at that, I mean it's not like comedies the first thing that comes to mind when talking about beserk either
