I don't think it's only Japan where fans act like this. Music acts that depend on teen girls also face the same problem. Once they find out their bias is dating someone they throw a crazyfest. Some attack their bias, but most attack the girl. Just look at how crazy some bieber fans got when they found out he was dating Selena Gomez? Some people on twitter were telling her to die.

Yes, but that sexual scandal was created by a newspaper.
The story is that she left a Record label she was working with, then the rumors started and this tabloid said it was because she had slept with several band members. Later it was discovered it was because she had a tumor.

It's different, but still there are several things that are similar.
The truth is that Fanboys obsessing over seiyuu is totally a real thing, which can border on creepy at times. Seiyuu have gotten death threats over merely openly admitting they have a boyfriend and ruining the "magic".

omg Fukuda!! <3 I love how defensive he is of Team Fukuda. And his sob face... I'm surprised he didn't do something sooner. I wonder if he'll reveal Green Leaves' origin or if people will just figure it out.

Last week I was even thinking they should just make the story public. It could actually be good for ratings. Maybe. At this point, what's left to lose? It can't hurt her career much more than the rumors already have.

Somehow, I think Fukuda is going to make the situation a lot worse. But I do admire him for sticking up for his friends. He's a really great guy. And his face was pretty awesome. The faces have been pretty epic on Bakuman for awhile now.

The fans are still ridiculous. How is Azuki not pure, just because she has a boyfriend. Then again, this sort of thing tends to happen with a lot of different fandom. So it isn't that hard to believe.

I hope they don't make Kitami evil. It seemed like there was a hint of that when she was crying, but I really hope she's sincere and backs Azuki. I still think she's going to get the part in Reversi though.

It's going to backfire on him and intensify the hate towards Mashiro and Azuki. Even though there is hate, it's still at the rumour stage. If he announces that they are indeed dating and people should shut up about it, then Azuki will have an even harder time getting the role in Reversi...and thus, keeping them virgins for much longer.
