i don't like using the term R&B, cause i reminds me of todays PoP music. but anyway..
I myself Play in a Funk-Rock/Funk-Metal band with influences like RHCP, Faith No More, Jimi Hendrix, Infectious Grooves and Extreme aso..

and i'm allso a fan of Funk, jazz-Funk, (Black)Disco, Soul
but don't take me wrong, in addition to that, i listen to a wide spectrum of music

LOL, it's cool I feel ya. But no, I actually meant the exact way you stated. I mean, do listen to some R&B/pop of today, but frankly it's really un-amusing to me for the most part. Being older, well I'm 26 (lol), I not in to most of that what's out on that scene today. I've always grown up on that old Funk and Soul that my mom and dad always listen to--like Parliement, Motown, Aretha Franklin...y'know stuff like that.

But I also listen to lots of different music as well, lol. Btw, the way those are some cool sounding tracks ya got there

Ahh i see:P and thanks. its a bit late on the night here to me. well it started with my mom who always liked music with groove or nice bass.(that allso includes electonica & old prog) but allso funk. so i am basicly grown up to it myself too^^.

Cameo gets me freaky, chromeo's got a sweet 80s electro funk vibe, jamiroquai, some old red hot chili peppers maybe. The greyboy allstars, i can smell the funky cheese from here son.
