None of the people on the poll crack top 5 except for Jordan, as everything from his stats to accomplishments aren't even arguable for being #1.

If LeBron's had a better career from 2006 to present, how does one explain Kobe leading the Lakers to two consecutive championships during that time? You can be a better scorer/rebounder/etc whatever you want, but in the end Kobe got rings, LeBron didn't.

Also, Kobe is 33 years old with a broken body, he has left knee/ankle problems, recently got a right shin injury, has busted fingers, and tore a ligament in his wrist, yet he's still the top scorer in the league and is leading his shattered Lakers (meaning loss of Odom and Brown, new coach, shortened pre-season meaning fewer full team practice sessions to get used to an entirely new play system) to the number 3 seed in the West. His record against LBJ's Miami is 1-1 this season.

The previous decade, he led his Lakers (along with Shaq from 00'-02') to 7 conference titles. That's right, out of the 10 years in the 2000 to 2010 decade, he's been to the finals 7 times. And of those 7 times he won 5, which is damned close to Jordan's 6 for 6 in the finals (who would have had a much tougher time if Scottie Pippen wasn't there, so don't give me no Kobe couldn't do it without Shaq, which he did by the way).

So Kobe arguably can't break the Top 5? Please. Him and Jordan are in the Top 5 greatest of all time for sure. I admit, Jordan one ups him, but Kobe's definitely in there.

Wilt, Russell and all them, they were fascinating players sure, but the level of competitiveness of the past two to three decades blows the level of Wilt and Russell out of the water. Not saying they wouldn't have been amazing players in today's game either, but today's game level must certainly be taken into account.
