The UEFA European Football Championship is the main football competition of the men's national football teams governed by UEFA (the Union of European Football Associations). Held every four years since 1960, in the even-numbered year between World Cup tournaments, it was originally called the UEFA European Nations Cup, changing to the current name in 1968. Starting with the 1996 tournament, specific championships are often referred to in the form "Euro 2008" or whichever year is appropriate.
Prior to entering the tournament all teams other than the host nations (which qualify automatically) compete in a qualifying process. The championship winners earn the opportunity to compete in the following FIFA Confederations Cup, but are not obliged to do so.
The 13 European Championship tournaments have been won by nine different national teams. Germany are the most successful team in the history of the tournament, winning three times in six final appearances. France and Spain are the only other multiple-time winners with two titles each. The other European Championship winners are Italy, Czechoslovakia, Netherlands, Denmark, Greece and inaugural winners Soviet Union, with one title each.

The 2012 UEFA European Football Championship, commonly referred to as Euro 2012, or Euro Cup, will be the 14th European Championship for national football teams sanctioned by UEFA. The final tournament will be hosted by Poland and Ukraine between 8 June and 1 July 2012. It is the first time that either nation has hosted the tournament. This bid was chosen by UEFA's Executive Committee in 2007.
The final tournament features sixteen nations, the last European Championship to do so (from Euro 2016 onward, there will be 24 finalists). Qualification was contested by 51 nations between August 2010 and November 2011 to join the two host nations in the tournament. The winner of the tournament gains automatic entry to the 2013 FIFA Confederations Cup hosted by Brazil.

McDonald's Fantasy Football

You get 100 point to buy players with, better ones are more expensive. The players get points for how they perform in the real games from Euro 2012. The aim is to get a high amount of points :O

For the fantasy i created two leagues, one is classic the other head-to-head. Join both if you want or one or the other.

My guess would be Portugal. But stranger things have happened. You have to say Germany are favourites in that group.

I am looking forward for this year's euro! Damn 2012 is such a nice year.

Eurovision, Euro and Olympic games all in the same year.

Yeah, England is no shoe in to win that group, Sweden will be tough.
