What version of word?

If you have Vista, and never purchased a copy of Office, your trial period may have ended.

Nope I don't have Vista. I can't afford changing right now

. I have Windows XP but I think that the Office is since 2000. Yeah, yeah it's old but I'm too bored to change it..

this could be a very slim chance, but did you try using it on 2 different machines, one that had word 2003 edition then one that had 2007 edition then switch back to 2003, which would turn the file ot a .docx, which 2003 wouldnt read, causing it to freese,

i doubt thats the problem but its worth looking into

mine's around 2000+ plus microsoft word.. 2003? not office though. still works fine i think.

theres differnet editions to Office Suit, 2000 2003 and 2007

theres been talk of a 2009 or even a 2010 edition but probly wont happen, but anyways back to point, what is going on ecatly, you open a document and then what happens

I have to admit I didn't try that because I deleted the corrupted file when I saw it. I think I panicked.. I'm pretty useless regarding things like that...

i am to, thats why i like ot be tired, ill stare at it for hours deciding on what to do with it, until it become something logical lol

I'm the exact opposite. I have to take it out of my sight... I don't think, I panic and delete...

All you have to do is just run any windows update that is pending on your PC and everything will be fine after you download the windows update and reboot the PC.

it depends. i had an office problem before and i had to rely on third party software to fix it.
