Default windows vista

i have an acer 5315 whit vista and sometimes a window pop-up and says that i have more windows than the ones i can open, why?

It could be a program you are using.

I have personally never ran into any problem like that, using any operating system... The closest I've got was a limited memory error, meaning I had too many things hogging up too many resources. (And that was Windows 95 and 98.).


Shouldn't have any windows open if you have heat turned on... Throwing money away.

can you explain a little bit more about what you are doing when this happens, ive used vista for past 4 years, ive never hurd of this

back when windows NT was around or around then you could only open 3 programs usually due to Memory capabilitys, most likly you have liek 128 ram and are opening like photoshop or something as such and its not being processed correctly

hmms. how much ram do you have? vista is pretty memory intensive. how big is your cache file too?

Well my RAM is 512MB but i dont use that kind of programs you mention, i usually have ares, internet explorer, and windows media player when that happen

512 mb is definitely not enough to run vista. which build of vista are u using? premium? ultimate?

my cache memory is 1 MB.

its vista starter. i could say my computer is powerless because of ram, processor (2.13GHz), and video (Graphic media accelerator x3100 )

The amount of RAM that you have still isn't sufficient to run even the starter, cause the Ram works along side the RAM. You will need to adjust the RAM cache size and perfonace settings in system properties, advance system properties and check to performance settings.
