I've been trying to turn my laptop off at least 5hours a day, and by turn off I don't mean putting it to sleep.

I rarely shut down my computer completely. Most of the time when I'm away, I hibernate it (it's just so much faster).

I shut it down whenever i'm not using it. I don't see the point in leaving it on when i'm not in the house, or when i'm asleep.
