don't really know if i should type this here but it's better than opening a new thread for a simple question. does using the security protocol WPA2 slow wifi at all?

From what I would understand, using one encryption over another would not affect performance... The encryption is an algorithm which takes any amount of characters and encrypts them then sends the packet to your router to make sure you are using the correct password. And I am pretty sure that none of them are over O(nlog(n))... One might have a better algorithm, but that is overlooked (can't think of the right word to use). Quote:
A boolean is either TRUE (=1) or FALSE (=0). When you make conditional statements, you are essentially creating a boolean expression. For instance, each time the program executes if(something == somethingElse) it will assert either if(1) [if(TRUE)] or if(0) [if(FALSE)] then based on the condition it will continue. Just to make it even clearer: Code: ... bool test = true; while(test) ; //Creats an infinite loop. //while(test) would be the same as while(1) I did my best to comment everything to make it easier to understand... Even though I woul dhope most of it would be unnecessary. ;p Code: ...
int main(){
bool check = FALSE;
int chk2 = 0; //I could have also used bool chk2 = 0; TO assert it as a boolean initialized as FALSE.
//Will be true.
if(check == chk2)
{
check = foo();
}
cout<<check; //In the console you would see: 1
//That is because the if statement is checked to be true.
//That means check gets assigned whatever foo returns.
//foo returns TRUE since 2+2 != 1
...
...
}
bool foo()
{
...
...
if(2 + 2 == 1)
{
return FALSE; //An integer 0 would be sent back.
}
else
return TRUE; //An integer 1 would be sent back.
}
After you read up on #defines... Simple way to explain it TRUE and FALSE are both reserved words that have #define's as 1 and 0, respectively.

Yay, a thread D: Too bad all I still know are non-programming languages....gonna try a sincere effort to learn the basics of C starting today, though -_-

make sure you are using Visual Studio... Downloads Free. So far, I have not run into any limitations.C++ Shouldn't be too bad for you; its not like you have never done anything on a computer.

I use Dev-C++, also free, and a bit easier interface then Vis Studio -_- Also, the problem with me is, I can't learn something just to learn it, I need a project to do D:

I know what you mean, I am definitely the same way... I think most people would be that way, too. I used Bloodshed, too... Since I was learning on Visual Studio, I couldn't get use to Bloodshed. I have found, that there is some syntax that is different between the two. For instance you need the system pause at the end of your program or else your console window will disappear and you don't get the "Press any key to continue..." but in Visual Studio you don't have to do that. Something that always bugged me, but I don't know how much they've changed it since four years ago.
