Use task manager to stop the process, then try reinstalling. It should be labeled something like msnmsgr.exe. (CTRL+ALT+DEL, then under the "Processes" tab) I am surprised that a restart didn't fix it, I get problems like that every once and a while, just end the process and restart the program and it works. =/ If that doesn't work you can always use Pidgin (GAIM), Digsby or Trillian. (I personally enjoy using Pidgin)

| If you cannot see it its probably Corrupted, try Uninstalling and downloading it again Windows Live Messenger Download Uninstalling under (Windows XP): > Start > Click on "Control Panel" > Search for "Programs" > Search for "Windows Live Essentials" this is if you have all Live Essentials If not: Search for "Windows Live Messenger" Instead > Uninstall > Re-Start PC for Registry Cleaning -Installing- > Start-Up > Go where you Downloaded WLM and Install it > Everything else is self-forward That Should Fix it. Messenger doesnt weights too much so you can Uninstall it and Install it pretty easily tough if your having more problems after this you should keep the downloaded WLM for future fixes |
