I was on msn and i signed in then my bl disappeared >.< its all white with nothing but it still shows me when people log on

I use Pidgin instead because I'm not willing to install all these chat programs
wait.... i don't even use that anymore...now just skype

but yea reinstalling usually work if that doesn't work then your profile is corrupt i think you can find your profile somewhere on c:\doc and settings\user\??? application data or local setting ... i bet if you web search it you'll find an answer
if that no go maybe your .net framework corrupt??!?!? maybe

install msn plus Messenger Plus! Live - The Windows Live Messenger Extension

and it may fix...if it doesnt update to the latest msn...recently released..
and if that doesnt work reinstall messenger

Try a reinstall... You can try a different theme.

Try using something like meebo, or webmessenger.msn.com just to make sure you didn't permanently loose the buddy list... Pidgin is certainly, a great alternative, especially if you use AIM and/or Yahoo, etc. as well as MSN.
