Hi all,

I have just moved into my uncles house and I had to leave a lot of my belongings behind because of a lack of transport. Currently I'm using his PC but he needs it a lot of the time and this leaves me a bit stuck.

So in the next couple of weeks I have a loan coming through for 10k, however I'm a lead guitarist so a lot of that will be spent on equipment. I used the dell website and built myself an alienware pc that came to about £5000 but I know there is going to be places to get cheaper stuff.

Basically I'm wanting a desktop pc, maybe with one of those built in guitar amplifiers as well. I would want it to last for a fair few years for playing games,particularly online mmorpgs but still not break the bank as I'm going to need as much of the loan as possible for other stuff.

Recommendations please?

looks great for the cash compared to dell but its in dollars and need a UK based one

just find a dollar to euro converter :O

it should be less then 2500 euros i think

£1894.41 apparently, but they dont ship to the UK

HP sells in UK and usually have great deals but best PCs are always custom built to fit your own needs especially with PC gaming you like to choose parts carefully from PSU to the mouse

Yeah, if you want to save as much as possible the best route is to build your own. There's tons of manuals out there on the web on how to put a computer together and the parts are pretty cheap nowadays. I've been itching to build my own computer for a while now but I haven't been able to gather any money.

I'd usually say get a Mac

but unless you're willing to get software for compatibility, you won't be able to play many online mmorpgs
