yo if you need them for school there are probably different options
your school already has Corporate licensing for all students and you can get the IT install the programs on your laptop or give you CD install
2nd option the computer labs have those software

also there are alternatives to these programs in opensource community search on sourceforge.net to find if you can't look somewhere else on the web
