Although we don't have too many womenfolk on here, I am sure that males have been affected by this as well. Attempts on my friendship have been made by such frenemy creatures, for example. Have any stories to share, people of AC?

Yes, Facebook can be annoying. Farmville and its kin are a complete waste of time that should be spent on RPGs, and one can spend untold amounts of life trying to keep up with commenting on meaningless statuses and photos. On the bright side, however, if used properly, it can lead to great opportunities to connect and learn about people you wouldn't normally talk to, like if they're from another country or are busy, and you get to share your thoughts and creations with all of the people you care about at once. Not to mention, while I hate to rub it in naysayers faces, Egyptians are using Facebook to help free their country and some survivors in Japan are being found and saved with FB and Twitter. So yeah, it kind of has more uses than stalking one's Ex. Kind of. ![]() So, like anything on the internet it can either be used or abused. It's really up to the person and how they use it before it can be deemed as a complete annoyance or waste of time for the entire human race. Not that anyone said that; I'm just putting it out there. =p

It's all about how you use it, what you use it for, and what type of person you are, lol. I'll make a generalization here and say it's mostly Americans, who have boring lives, that use facebook for gossip and what not. But it really applies to anyone...

It's not about Facebook but it's about your friends in facebook. Some people are annoyed because they add people they don't really know about just for the sake of having a "set of friends" that might ridicule your news feed eventually or worst spam your wall. In the end they only have their self to blame not knowing why "Ignore" option exist.Personally, I just joined facebook a year ago and it's pretty handy by using it for study purposes and I only have college friends added on it so it's not much of a problem. Some nonsensical update on their lives can be ignored as compensation I got to read their interesting notes. Last edited by iDeja; 03-31-2011 at 11:14 PM. | |

I like it for the fact that I dont have to call someone once a month to check up on them, they let me know off the news feed and when we get together 6 years later its like we have always been hanging out lol. I must say though on the female part, I do realize that when I first meet a female friend who is flirtatious and then adds me on facebook the first thing they look for is relationship status O.O sorry to disappoint
