Australia’s tech retailer, Kogan, has decided to charge the Internet Explorer 7 users a 6.8% tax, just because they haven’t upgraded.

Once they open the checkout page, the following pop up will be shown:
The above is only an excerpt, so have some sauce with it.

I wonder what the tax for Internet Explorer 6 users is.

LOL they're right and I totally agree with them.
Coding a website to make it compatible with old IE is a really pain, so this tax is fair !

I am glad that websites are now targeting Internet Explorer 7 as well. Guess its time has come too!

hahahaha the stupidity people show. Not everyone is tech savvy and in a sense yes it costs money to retrofit old platforms and web browsers etc.
It's cool, but I think it's a dick move too. Still funny though

ROFL!

That killed me, the bit about the coma and making the internet a better place.

I didn't think people still used IE7, but it's still available for download so I'm obviously naive. I don't think it's necessary to be so mean about it, but when it comes to technology that's the default way to act, like getting into an argument with Apple fanboys.

They should just stop coding to support IE7 and leave the problem on the user end, when people have problems properly loading sites they'll know something is wrong and look to fix the problem. It's like asking people not to download excessive toolbars on their browser, people who aren't tech savvy don't become tech savvy even if you tell them not to download malicious software and to stay away from bad poker sites. People who are using IE7 probably don't know or care.

Yes I do and I garantee that I don't live in a cave. Further more, I have no issues with IE. I do not like other browsers, and yes, I have tried them.
