it too is "gaming" type of part (has a huge fan right across its lower half)...I went with some thing that can cool itself ...my "desktop" is to be used as a server in the future

my total is coming to be around 950, and i still dont have a CD/DVD ROM drive and im using the stock fan for the CPU god knows what my total will be but... im screwed unless someone will loan me money [wat]

That's weird, usually computer parts like Intel are cheaper in US (and you know why :P).

...let you in on a small detail about my comp ...the shop keeper gets his stock right from the companies that make the parts(the countries being China/Taiwan/Japan) ...no middle-man ......and with a very small mark up...

I guess if I got my parts truely "retail" ...it would have been over 1300$ easy...maybe over 2500 even....
so with that in mind .... for some parts look in the local computer shops instead of
shops that are in small malls or big stores ....will save you a lot of money!

no local computer stores that i know of where i live... im buying everything online from newegg.com amazon.com or the official website of the company who makes the product (corsair.com)

in a nutshell ...Intel is a US company ...so they should be cheaper in their "homeland" //////...but its actually cheaper to buy Intel from the Asian companies that sell them for Intel US .... weird or what..???

No, It's cheaper on US because almost all their factories are there, no additional tax, no shipping

if allowed yard sales,
go around looking for computer repair stores or internet providers they maybe saling computers and parts for cheap prices.
friends that you know that may have a lot of parts.

You think computers are cheap here, well cheaper than over there, but some computer repair shops and sale shops sle old pc's for around 200$ its cheaper to get a brand new pc cause you get the keyboard.

well i had plenty of pc's and parts in the pass, i had to get rid of them they were cluttering up my place.

I only have few parts now and they are not much.

another place is Ebay to get cheap p[arts and pc's
