this is the remake that both made me hate Steve Martin and the world. Peter Sellers is the best character actor ever, and they have only chosen this movie for the same reason that "film-makers" even do remakes : their ideas are leaving their pockets a bit bare in their opinion, thus they resurrect the classics. what a shame.
