I have heard nothing but bad things about this film. None of my friends who have watched it are religious and they all hated it.

I'm wondering if one's opinion on religion affects the film's impact. It may be petty, but it's an issue that some just can't abide.

I'm agnostic leading towards athiesm. And found no religion propaganda. The religion factor was merely the positive and negative effects religion have on people. Which was true for the movie. If so called anti religious people believe otherwise, then they're ignorant of the matter.

It isn't religious at all.... they aren't trying to suck you into religion lol... All there doing is telling you how powerful the book can be toward people... The movie takes place in a Wasteland and during such an era people growing up in the wastes don't focus to much on any faith/hopes.... they're only hopes are to survive

Just saw it and.. wow. One of the best movies i've seen in a looong time. The story, the acting, the effects, everything was brilliant. I highly recommend it. From the beginning to the end I was shocked at how good it turned out. Denzel was brilliant as well as everyone else
