I won't want to see the Original rebooted. With the CGI we have now, we can take it to a better story. Like the ones in the after universe or in the Old Republic. A Darth Bane movie or Exar Kun would be sick. Why do what everyone else is doing right now with the rebooting? It's time for something new, something epic.

im not stating rebooting the ot(george is already effectively in a way working towards that goal with the amount of edits he does yearly); im saying they could use someone to play luke during that thrawn arc and then timeskip to the legacy books time period(~40 After the battle of yavin) for a 4th trilogy with mark, carrie, and harrison back in the saga as their respective roles

the old republic era stuff is too far from the main arcs and character lineages to maintain non-core fans for any more than one movie

To help expanded on the SW movie popularity, they should not do a movie on the main arc stuff. We have 2 trilogies already, that's enough. The Old Republic has a more interesting story than the events near the battle of yavin.

Tell you the truth, I'd like to see a Jedi Origins movie; The Force Wars on Tython.

Both sides utilized metal swords augmented through the Force.

To me, that's just f*cking sick.

Then again a Force Wars show would be better than a movie. I can see it as a good Anime actually.

those era portions are really quite unsell-able for the mass market; at least things like the thrawn stuff would have characters people might know of; i can't see anyone who isn't a semi-hardcore fan who would know nor care to know any of the characters from the jedi origins stuff

i could see a republic/imperial commando movie be made before they would consider anything close to the force wars

Might as well bring in an epic mandalorian movie. One about Mandalore the Lesser and how corrupt he was. It would have to be rated R cuz of how badass they need to make the gladiator scenes.

it wouldn't have enough of even a niche market if it was to be about mandalore the lesser to be profitable; at least the RC(republic commando) series has had enough demand and fan support to possibly work as a movie; there just isn't that type of a base for that mandalore
