well how we grow up, we start to more and more understand what kinda sacrifices they did for us.. and we want to pay it pay no matter how..

According to Chinese media reports, the family -- whose monthly income is about 1,000 yuan ($146) -- has already spent nearly 100,000 yuan ($14,600) in medical expenses since the father was diagnosed with cancer more than a month ago. The mother, who is also in poor health, retired early more than eight years ago.

The woman told China Daily she is now trying to keep her husband from learning of their daughter's desperate act of love.

How reckless.. What a vain act, and in fact this leads to more trouble. I wonder what made the girl think that the best way to cope with the problem is by killing herself. Or maybe she didn't think about it at all. And now her mother is trying to keep her husband from learning what she has done? I guess the matter has become a lot more complicated than before. The girl joins the father at the hospital, her 'plan' didn't succeed (I wonder how her heart condition is; after she swallowed those pills I guess it wouldn't be useful for her father after all) , and everyone has to shut their mouth about what have happened. I guess the girl needs to learn a lot more about how to show love in appropriate way, and what family relationships are all about. And maybe if she's shocked because of her discovery of her father's illness, I think she should discuss it first with her mother before taking reckless actions.

I couldn't even do that!!! I really do hope her father doesn't find out until he's well. That was really thoughtful, though a little reckless, still incredibly heart warming

I know it's a liver transplant and you need one to live, but in China you practically do have to die in order to donate your organs to your loved ones. The economy is so poor and the medical expenses are so high, no doctor there would do a transplant otherwise.
I definitely feel for the kid, what a desperate act of unconditional love. Unfortunately there comes the ignorance of being young; she could have caused her family more trouble than needed, if she hasn't all ready.
The thoughtfulness of children know no bounds however, and they act out of love more than anything else. Too common a story, it's sad.

I don't think any words could describe the ammount of love and upset she must have felt but i do wonder if the situation had been different had the mother and father told the daughter outright about the illness rather than her find out that way. Maybe the outcome would have been the same but finding out like that must have been a huge shock and upset.
