Man Chokes Kid Over Call of Duty Black Ops Game

Okay, so for those of you who haven't heard this story yet, apparently a man physically assaulted a kid after being heckled over losing in a game of COD: Black Ops. More details of the story can be found here:

Now, there are lots of things I could say about this, but honestly, I found the whole story to be hilarious. But also a bit bittersweet. Now, many will state that the guy was completely in the wrong for his actions, and I certainly won't debate that point. But, as anyone who has ever played any type of game online will tell you, quite possibly the most irritating thing you can deal with when it comes to online gaming is being an adult and having to listen to some little snot-nosed brat with no social life treat you as if you're worse than trash while playing a game. Not only do these kids say some of the most offensive things you will ever hear (and coming from a child no less), but also it's the absolute height of degrading.

So, I'd like to know what anyone out there thinks about this. Who do you think is more wrong? Should the kid have been playing this type of game at his age? Have you had any similar experiences/feelings? Is Dwayne "the Rock" Johnson a better actor or wrestler?

Just kidding on that last one, but please, share your thoughts.

When my brother was in high school, he once pinned an 8-year old against a wall. The kid was uninjured, but very shaken.

And yesh, I agree with you about kids on the internet, playing games, can be jerks.
But for realz... the best thing about not being a 13 year old is that when they shout grammatically incorrect abuse at you... you roll your eyes and shake your head.

At 43 years old... I mean, being mad is one thing. But to go and track down this kid to strangle him, takes thought, effort and action... dude needs to take a breath.

As for games causing violence? I find it hard to even dignify it with a response.
I'm yet to choke a 13 year old and I play daily. :B
When a kid bashes someone in the head with a pipe over an argument about Madden... it must be the games fault. Not like... the parents? Or their general upbringing? The environment they live in? Or the politicians encouraging war and violence as an acceptable form of reasoning...?

I think that COD is fine(not the fault of the game). It's that big man's fault he take things way too serious. It's a GAME not a WAR !!
