I enjoy this quote of his. It's sort of humbling or even depressing to know that even the top 1% isn't immune to everything such as cancer. Albeit he's one that did great charitable work (I believe) and interestingly I read today that he contributed to Pixar, which arguable produced some of the best animated films of all time. Of course his work within Apple means that he'll go down in history as someone who contributed towards the direction we're going in with technological advancements. RIP

I really didn't expect him to die so soon after retiring, it makes me remember how much sadness and pain cancer brings to those who are ill and to those who are close to that person. It really pains my heart to see that someone whom I admire suffered the same fate as someone dear to me did, and it makes me think again about the value of life.

The world just lost a great man, but his deeds will always be remembered by those who keep living. Rest in Peace Steve, you deserve it after all those years of endless suffering.

He had to come back because $1 billion was wiped straight off Apple's market value as soon as he left. He is the embodiment of Apple :/

He tried LSD travelling when he was younger which lead him onto the path of Buddhism because he hated it so much, he was a man of the world and after buying out Pixar he worked with Disney to create some of the greatest films of all time ie. Toy Story. He was friends with his enemies (ie. Bill Gates) and like Mr. Gates he did a lot of charity work. Considering the type of cancer he had he was lucky to live this long as if the tumour he had wasn't operable on (which luckily it was so he had the op back in '09), he would have been dead a couple years back.

So thank Buddha he's stayed with us for this long

He created a company that could work and operate without him. Back when he was kicked out of Apple when Scully became CEO, Apple became the biggest PC distributor in the world and increased from 1 billion to 10 billion in annual revenue. It's because he is the embodiment of Apple that it can continue.
