What about the athletes who are naturally better? As a sports fan, I want to watch the best of the best not someone who had to statistically be on the team. The good thing about women's sports is that it gives women a chance to excel instead of being easily beat out by their men counterparts even though I admit that I don't normally watch them.

Beauty contests have never been deep.

Would be funny if she/he won. Then the prettiest woman and the prettiest man on this planet are both male.

That's why I think opening up the sports team would be a good thing. It would raise the quality of the competition. There are amazing female athletes that I think are on par with the men (though not the top guys) in arenas. Like football and track and field. But I know that there are realistic arguments against that, but it would be cool to see female teams in the World Cup.

Letting her compete stirs up the kind of controversy that raises awareness of the competition and RATINGS. But letting her keep a crown will stir up the negative type of backlash from people (and the countries they represent). Beauty competitions are an industry onto themselves, the women competing are trained, their participation is like an investment to the people backing them. It would have been nice if she had a fair shake.

I imagine the high number of red cards distributed because of sexual harassment during corner

It doesn't mean that only male or female competitions would be canceled.
I usually watch the female soccer world cup, mainly because Mexico female team isn't as bad as the male one :X
There are some sports where they have unisex competitions, like tennis, and sometimes female participants have defeated their male counterparts.
There was a woman who was going to participate with a 2nd division team here, and the players complained saying it wouldn't be fair because they won't use the same strength defending against her than against an man.

she is not male since she doesn't have male genitalia. :/

The Mexican men's team is bad in the men's league, but would they be in the women's league? There are certain sports fields where maybe that would work, but for the majority, no.

Yes Ms. Universe should only allow girls that are natural in beauty and not with fake if you know what I mean. I have always wondered how the ladies in Ms. Universe are so tan?

A better poll would be "Who actually watches Miss Universe?"
