![]() Humans are nothing like this.. We essentially need to create what 90% of all people believe is already out there. Create God.

So we create AI or a mere idea to govern us? You know, the problem is that even if you were to create the ideal leadership, that doesn't mean various forces would adhere it. Try telling the people in Wall Street and the City of London to take a financial loss.

Wall street and the rest would know there's lines they can't cross.. They might not know where they are exactly and most times when this "mind" stepped in and changed the numbers it would cause a lot of loud swearing and outrage. There's no way all of it could be explained on the spot for the sheer complexity behind it but if/when it became clear from the results on the ground that the system worked then you'd just have to brush it off with lines like: "The lord giveth, the lord taketh away" "The lord works in mysterious ways" You could ask it "why?!" and maybe it would answer, maybe it would decide you don't need to know, either way, there was gains that outweighed your losses on that day somewhere. The idea is to plug this thing into everything. All seeing, all knowing. Always there to limit the damage we do to ourselves & each other. Neural networks are not quite there yet but they will be eventually.. Question is, if you knew you could create this, would you? You could make god a solid reality with a flick of a switch but once it's on, it's in everything and you can't turn it off. Only way to undo it without taking out half your own civilization would be for it to determine we are "better off" without it. Last edited by DannyBoy; 09-23-2012 at 01:17 AM.

Saying that, this thing would easily acquire whatever power it saw fit and aggression against it would be pointless. It could just shut down your whole economy, power, everything just like that, tell you to play nice and then turn the lights on again. (unless the rebellion against it was too big and chaos was inevitable and it's own existence became the biggest threat) Last edited by DannyBoy; 09-23-2012 at 02:00 AM.

The whole idea of creating a ''God'' like machine seems impossible for now. What countries really need are politicians that actually want to work and people with consciousness. Even if i don't like Germans, or to put it better the German government i can't bypass the fact that they work fine. People there actually care about their government and above all they trust their chancellor. You can't avoid corruption, that's a fact but you can keep it in low levels and prevent it from affecting the citizens. And you really think some of the ''strong'' countries would agree on a machine that would set the game for them? Not even in a 100000000000 years.

Capitalism relies on this contrast. Why would anyone on top want a system that stopped you being able to cheat & enslave others even if it meant the end of wars and needless poverty? Who wants to be just rich when you can use the current system to become a master of the universe?

That's why we need to find a new system. Capitalism is a burned paper anyway. The current situation that will only get worse and worse will force governments/politicians/economists to find a new system to run their economies. A war will do that work as well. : o
