This is one of those stories that literally kill a part of my brain, what the hell... Quote:

I saw this story two days ago. What I think happened is that they cleared him out of the system without sending someone to retrieve him.

Even if they cleared the system, wouldn't they check the building when locking it down for the night? It doesn't sound like a temporary base of operations, it sounds like it was the actual DEA offices.

The bag of meth is way too suspicious... sure it could have been left behind by some junkie who hid it in the cell moments before they stripped him or something, they could have been dicking with him too though... "Not a junkie, say? Let's see what happens when we lock you in room with some meth see!". And the fact that this was a holding cell and nobody thought to go there for 5 days just says volumes about their janitorial staff >>" |

Saw a similar article earlier today, that one doesn't mention that he is suing for $20 Million.

| I'm just trying to make sort of sense out it. All that can be said is that there was a lot of negligence on the part of the state. If they don't check every inch of their facility daily, then how many more drugs, weapons, etc are hidden?

Read this earlier. I don't remember any mention of anime hallucinations though. The link you posted was way better with the details Kamina. Thanks. Poor kid. Wanted to get high. Got busted, spent five days alone with no food or water. Lesson learned, perhaps? Anyhoo. The level of negligence on the part of the DEA is near incomprehensible. Government inefficiency in practice?

I don't know about that, an experience like this is sure to mess anyone up. I hope he does stay clean though. Another inexplicable thing to me is that shouldn't the drugs have been logged under evidence? Isn't that standard protocol for federal agencies? (U.S.) Or can it be assumed that people can take stuff home? I guess we can only speculate until they make a statement or there's a hearing, which could take years. |
