Wow.. .__. My mum told me that the first GM baby(in Singapore at least) was conceived by one of her friends and her child has grown up healthy(I know him personally). So don't get any weird ideas XD

Modification? How disgusting. Sure, it that's what they want, it's their choice. I certainly would never agree to do something like that. If you can't have children of your own, big deal! There are plently of orphans out there. Just adopt a few.

have been very clear about that. I mean that if others want to do this modification thing, I can't forbid them to. It's their choice, not mine. ![]() Personally, I'd rather have no children at all than go through a procedure like that.

I'm all for genetic modification if it means giving the child an extended life span from genetic diseases. I am also against the choosing of genes over others, unless it is that individuals own choice, not the parents or the governments. Would be cool in some instances to alter your genes for blond hair or purple instead of dying it. Maybe even extra arms. Not much different from getting body piercings or tattoos really. Too bad current technology can only modify genes when the child is a single cell. |

| Ultimate Hokage | I get that. I just think that the only person who should choose to alter non-life threatening genes is the person him/her self. At some point, with research going into viruses and how they hijack living cells into virus breeding factories, we could change the DNA of already living beings. Making it possible treat genetic flaws in adults that are later discovered after birth. My viewpoint is just taking that research into consideration as well as what this topic is already discussing. |
