It's from the very first ova that was released for Gintama, even before the series started. It's the 2005 Jump Fiesta special. People liked it so much that it turned into a series :)

what the f*ck. most of that episode was just a literal repetition of an old episode. The new material was funny but that old crap wasn't as good the second time around. why did they recap that episode of all episodes to recap.
