Extremely beautiful! Made me cry, and feel great emotion. The first anime to ever make me cry. So sad.

This movie will make you cry if you watch it with your hearts open. Its a masterpiece, amazing, and beatifull, but i just can´t take the pain for watching this anime again. This anime can´t be compared with anything created. Ghibli made a unique sad history about one brother and one sister in World War.
A Must watch for sure! But dont let kids watch it!

I watched this movie a long time ago and now as I watch it, I still feel the pressing urge to grab the tissue box and cry my eyes out! It's such a gut-wrenching story and it's so heartfelt. Excellent and beautifully moving, but I doubt anyone can go through this movie without at least shedding a tear!

i remember watching this when i was around 7, didn't know the name but a sad story

so far the saddest movie ive ever seen...made me cry from the start through the end..
