Hokuto no Ken Episode 21

Shin has got to be the strangest and most unpredictable character in an anime that I have ever seen. Just when you think that he is a total bastard he does something like that yet he always seems so cheesy evil where as Kenshiro always seems so stero type macho man good guy.

Someone must not watch a lot of anime. Shin is the stereotypical villain especially back then. He's the powerful rival who captures the hero's girlfriend and/or female friend. Bleach's Orhime and Rukia, One Piece's Robin and Nami, Mario's Peach, and so on. Even in movies it's that way. Strange probably, but unpredictable no. He said in the beginning that the fatal difference between himself and Ken was obsession. He's a killer and he's obsessed with Yuria. Him protecting Yuria was the most predictable thing he would do. He's really looking out for his own interests not hers or anyone elses.
