why leorio look so dumb in the remake...

I'm against watching it again since the manga is still not finished but it is a good anime and I can't wait to see Hisoka again I love clowns and mad hatters.

Really disappointed in this. Sure, the animation is improved and the visuals are pretty. But they left out so many important parts. The meeting with the mysterious Hunter who's also Gin's student. The mother-son like relationship of Gon and Mito. The fact that Gin didn't actually want to leave Gon. The little cub Gon raises and the fact that he's good with animals. The stuff that happens on the port of the island. The intensity and strategy in the fishmonster scene is completely forgotten. There is no build up to the point where Gon wants to become a Hunter. The conflict within Mito whether she wants to let go of Gon or not is pretty much nonexistent. Heck, if I was watching this for the first time I would have no idea who Mito is. Gon's mom? His babysitter? His sister? Everything's happening way too fast.

Haste makes waste. That's exactly what's going on here. I think I'll just rewatch the original instead.

very disappointing....i thought this is the sequel....i think we don't need a remake..cant afford to watch this in 3 times...

Where's the tree in their house? F*ck. Can't move on .. O_O

Why the hell is it summarize?

this series better go straight to Gon dad instead of going into Kaprika story

Wow so much missing information compare to the old one..guess the creator gonna push forward the old one, when not just make the season 2 of Hunter x Hunter instead it would have been better

i like the 1st series better in so many ways...there is a feeling that i felt on the 1st one that i cant feel in this one...maybe the BG music, new voices, more chibi like......ksss idk what is it or why i cant feel it...
i hope it gets better as it goes....

A friend was telling me about this show and I figured I would give it a shot. Just watched the first episode and I have to admit I liked what I saw. I will continue watching to see if it continues to capture my attention. Just one question....what's with the fishing pole that Gon carries? Oh well, guess I have to watch to find out....lol!

Whether or not the story matches the old one identically, this is MUCH more commercial and easier to follow than the old series was. Who knows, with this version it may actually get licensed and enough support to bring this great story with amazing characters to western audience officially. Even in this condensed version it's still a much better anime and more likeable than most in the top 10 on this site. Hoping it's popularity will take off like it should have the first time. :P
