Nice anime, the plot was ultra-classic but it was very well done. It wasn't epic in any way but you don't regret watching it. I guess that one was more for girls but not so cute as to make it sloppy.

This was on my watch list *yay*

Another brilliant work from Studio Ghibli, and surprisingly directed by Goro Miyazaki (Hayao Miyazaki's son). The romantic melodrama was actually funny and sweet but what really made this for me was the nostalgic, post-war atmosphere and the fantastic songs and music. (and the strong, not-irritating female characters! T_T)
