What a reckless soul...damn, read the mangas or some damn spoilers if you're a lazy fatass and you'll know that in Shippuden there are no freakin' chunnin exams!
(What would be the point of an exam in which only naruto would enter? -.-)

No need to be so rude -_- The chunnin exams in which Shikamaru helped at happened in Season 1 of Shippuuden however they don't show any footage of it. That was the reason why Temari was in Konoha at the beginning of Season 1 if you'll remember was to help with the exams ^_^
