I thought the ending would happy but its almost sad.

right.. =( but all in all i love this anime!characters are very unique, and the making love scene is not awkward.

The ending is actually happy. Bittersweet, but ultimately each one decided what was inevitably coming. Although I initially thought "couldn't they just have waited for each other, and met up later?".. but that is not the point at all. The story is about Caroline (I like this nickname *^^*) becoming her own person. Internally, they could see that their differences would bring a separation at some point. George's colder quality would not provide the security that Caroline requires in their relationship. Over time they probably would have parted on bad terms had they remained together as lovers.

awwwww i dont like the ending!!! i wish they made it a lil bit different so GeorgexCaroline wouldbe together or like a cliffhanger were she'll go after George or something like that... -_-

This anime was good. It started kind of slow, but it was a treat. I mean, it would have been nice if George and Yukari were together but I ultimately think that what happened was right for them and their futures. Everyone goes through heartbreak and not everyone has happy endings, at least this anime honors those moments in our lives that make or break us. It was so fun to watch!

i thought she was gonna get married 2 george....and i thought it was gonna b a happy ending instead i cried... :(

I didn't like this end,even thought it was realistic,but I didn't like the fact that they didn't even kiss or hug for farewell. And after I've seen the end, I think it looks like he married that Kaori instead...I didn't like that thought at all!

It didnt have ended like that, they could make a cute couple Caroline and Gorge but shes marrying smone else instead...

Im kind of sad, really.. because I think Caroline is not happy with her husband cause she still wearing that dress from G. Why? *sniff*sniff** Why didnt they wait for each other? Or why didnt she come with him to France? T_T

For everyone who didn't like the ending, just believe that she will divorce her "to-be-husband" after one or two years and go back to george and they live happily ever after ^_^

I actually like the ending, I would have been more annoyed if they'd ended up together. Don't take me the wrong way; they were a nice couple, but I just never saw them staying together. I agree with Cherii's comment.

Anyways, it was good; a fun piece of escapism.

The ending was different. Though its a bit sad that they didn't end up together, they both showed their love and support to each other through the symbolism of the dresses.
