I like this anime but I am still a bit unsure of who kill reiji so if can someone message me and tell who did it please!!! ^_^

That was an amazing series and it would have been one of the best I've ever watched if they had just ended it 5 minutes sooner. We really could have done without that last bit. I was all impressed at how they wrapped everything up and then got kicked in the nuts. However, I too am very confused on what actually happened, so I would really appreciate it if someone would explain it to me.

ok from what i got reji wanted to make her smile her real smile before he died. so i guess when she was looking at the flowers and smiled the anime gods said yep thats it. then reji got shot by a goat hearder lol. i'm not suprised. i expected this from the beginning because in most animes everyone dies just like basalisk. still a pretty frickin good anime

Hands down one of da best stories around, it blew my mind like a hurricane lol

.........lol this one was gud... the ending was confusing... but from what i got there was about 3~6 options depending on the audience...
1. inferno.the head guy of inferno.assasin hired.reiji dead.the end.
2. Elen shoots reiji...while giving her real smile... -the weird cart thing was just sumthing to confuse u- she eats the "poisonous flower" and dies...
3.Shiga has sumthing to do wit this..blahblahblah
4.Sum retarded ending with random assasination...(just an option)
5.-wat my friend blurted out- CAL!!! (=_=#)
for me im going with the second one cause thats the least suckiest one and kinda related and makes sense and also goes wit the whole song-ending relation... so yea ill just go wit #2
AND *I AM VERY SAD* BUT OMG THIS GUY SAID NO SEASON 2 WHILE I WAS IN JAPAN AT SUM OTAKU CONFERENCE SUM GLASSED FREAKS SAID NO SEASON 2 @$##@^@#$%#%%^**

there is no clarification, all their can be is speculation. doubt we'll ever find out who really shot him, and that's just how animes like this are. but really I thought it was a great ending to a great series xD

i don't think elen killed reiji because she said she was living for him so why would she kill him? i think dude in the cart killed reiji and elen ate the flower. good anime but definetly not the best i've seen. Code Gease defienetly up there as one of the best series of all time

Damn you anime and your hatred for happy endings!! I wish I had never watched this series now.

I still can't close my mouth after the episode finished. The ending was freaking awesome. I have never seen an anime that in just 26 episodes can give so much and finish with such a solid, perfect and surprising ending. My 10/10 points goes for the creators of this "Project Phantom", including the first opening and the last ending songs (are they on mp3 somewhere?). Truly awesome anime. A must.

And for ending, there might be a second season, but it would mean new characters for the whole history, sort of the second and third stories or Robotech (linked by the idea, but with quite different characters). But if not, one season would have been more than perfect. Thanks AC for bringing this to us!

Good ending. I didn't expect them to have a "happy ever-after"...Though I think the door is closed on a season 2 or an OVA for after this period.... thanks for posting the sub.. and thanks to the subbers!

All right to all the confused ppl out there here is wat happened... if u noticed at 16: 20 the inferno leader say smthg about that the ones who destroy old systems r the young ones and that they have things they must do. so obviously he send smone to kill reiji and that most likely the guy on the cart... now to the ppl who says that elen killed him ITS INSANE . reiji was the only one elen ever cared about beside she looked bak AFTER we heared the shot. and btw althought reiji wanted to make elen smile a true smile he NEVER acually saw it which means he couldnt fulfill his promise which pretty much add more sadness to the storyline. all in all .. one of the most beautiful endings ive seen in a while and im rlly sad that there wont be a second season.

Well first of all lets look at the facts here. #2 is not even a possible option. The only actual viable option is #1. "We have things we must do" big hint. Not to mention the simple fact that the shell casing was quite a distance away from Ein. I have a feeling that the assassin was the one that sent them to that spot in the first place. The shell casing was a hand gun casing, which means short range, that coupled witht he fact that you could see the casing all together. Now that I have successfully overanalyzed the situation. I laugh at myself for posting this. LOL.
