Not bad, though if I were Ash, I would have got quite angry: 3 on 6?!! Aren`t they doing a complete loser of him?! Even the strongest gym leaders from other regions used even number of Pokemon. I understand that his last badge had to be hardly-fought but this is overdoing it! If Homika was this strong, what kind of a monster are they gonna make from Drayden?! ;]
And yeah, I think the same about the Koffing checking part as the others ^_^

OK! First to answer a few question by the last couple of comments: Koffing is the English Version name of Dogas, and second they writers of this Pokemon Season made it where Satoshi/Ash doesn't quite know about that much about Pokemon to appeal more too fans who might just be watching Pokemon series for the very first time. Which kinds of suck because the died heart Pokemon Fans like myself know that Satoshi/Ash no way more about Pokemon then it being late on especially when it comes to the ones he already has seen throughout his Journey!~ Anyway this is by far the most Intense Final Gym Badg

I get why he does his Pokedex. It's for the professor. To collect the data. But I do not get why Ash didn't know who he was. Koffing is a hard to beat Pokémon.

Why do people think that Ash didn't recognize a Koffing? He was just registering its data in his new Pokedex. You know, for the Professor? :/
Besides, he /needed/ to look up its information anyway, because the younger viewers probably wouldn't know what a Koffing is.
