I have loved all of the yugioh series, from DM to GX and 5D’s. The original cannot be competeted with, but GX and 5D’s gave it a run for it’s money. Though both of the latter seasons had a slow start, they both eventually picked up pace and evolved the game into something new and intresting. The introduction of syncro monsters at first seemed a bit over the top, but after testing and small changes, it came out quite well. The same cannot be said for Zexal. Though it may be too early to judge, it seems far too childish and the new ‘advanced’ monsters seem a step too far. A rinse and repeat method has been used for the Zexal storyline. Trying to re-invent a successful game seems a bit of a waste of time to me, but maybe the writers have a master plan up their sleeve. Let us just see how this one draws out.
