Before we start the Cross Game Review I must begin by saying just how much of a fan of Old Baseball/Sport romances. There were almost none that I disliked due to their dramatic story lines, intense training sessions, and love triangles.

With that said Cross Game takes the old style baseball romance style, with even it’s older drawing style and updates it for a modern audience. After watching episode 1 I was hooked, and now I’m following this show week by week. The story follows Kou and Aoba as they play baseball throughout Middle School and High School, as obstacles occur throughout the show they start having feelings for each other, as romance anime’s usually progress. A love triangle appears later in the show, which makes he show even more interesting.

In short it may not be anything original, but it’s fun to watch. Leaves a cheery feeling after watching most of the episodes. Definitely worth watching if you don’t mind the story line..
