This anime is truly a classic, and any old school lover will know its name. It is one of the most popular series of the 1980s and if you loved Gundam Wing, you should definitely watch this because this was the inspiration. As an iconic shonen anime it is filled with bloodthirsty, fast-paced action combat that shonen watchers love. It has a vast cast with many bishonen (for the yaoi fans) of many types, but some of the girls like Athena are very pretty. Of course, since this is an old anime the art and graphics may not suit a lot of viewers, but it definitely is worth watching the 114 episodes for the battles, plot, and character development. You should also watch the Hades OVAs for they end the series.

The downside is that the anime changed many aspects of the manga which is way better in my opinion (shame that there are no sources for the English version), especially the Asgard arc which really sucked and made some of the characters OOC. Also, it is a tad unrealistic because *spoiler* Seiya and the gang can defeat ANYONE. I wouldn’t talk too much about that because it will spoil it.

Summing up, if you enjoy a hot-blooded shonen anime with good battles, techniques, characters and supporting characters, this is is a MUST watch.
