If you played any of the Devil may cry games, you’ll find very few references to the games at all besides the characters, and their respective weapons. The anime looks good and it has a classic anime style of a 2-3 episode arc with a small story behind it in the back, so its easy to follow but hard to watch back to back.

The fight scenes are awesome and its cool to see dante in action. the series also has a bit of humor in it. The problem i have mostly with the anime is that it has a awful ending, it couldn’t be any more cliche, but if you don’t go in expecting much and just want to see more of Dante and crew beating up demon baddies its right up your alley..
