The first 6 episode of the production are INCREDIBLE!!  I got shivers several times during any of the first six episodes!!  I was on the edge of my seat, so to say.

The opening and closing music is awesome and the sound production throughout is awesome!!  The animation is pretty slick too!

AND THEN…  you get past episode 6 and spend 20 episodes hoping the show will get cool, creepy, or make sense.  It does none of these three things.  It’s epic fail upon epic fail upon epic fail.

Suddenly the great murder mystery became a ridiculous, plot hole filled mess of stupidity.  Witches playing chess and traveling into the future to "beat" a human who exists as a chess player (they never even said why?) by proving to him magic is real, even though the main character is in silly amounts of denial and HE IS IN A MAGICAL CHESS ROOM HE CAN TELEPORT OUT OF WHEN HE WANTS TO THINK ABOUT HOW TO PROVE TO THE WITCH THAT SHE ISNT REAL!!!!  How can he not believe in magic…. 

I finished all 26 episodes in hopes it got better.  It doesn’t.

It gets a 4 for the music and the first 6 episodes.
