When I first started watching this anime, I got the immediate impression that it was just a very incoherent story meant to occupy children and ‘teach’ them simple chemistry.  After the first couple of episodes however, it started to become a little deeper and continued to grow on me.  While it is still obviously meant for children who have nothing better to do than watch this, it deserves credit for being an original story that manages to intrigue me so.  Though it lacks any humour I can see without using a microscope, certain complexities in the story keep me interested enough to watch it.  I would recommend this to anyone who is bored, interested in stories for young children, or likes poking holes in badly devised Sci-Fi..
