Subbed vs. Dubbed
Honestly this is one of those rare anime shows that’s just better dubbed. I mean I love Digimon and it’s a major part of my childhood, which is why when I watch it in japanese I find it a bit like a Pokemon re-hash. At least when it was in english it was a much more original form of show, I mean at least they didn’t use the same terms as Pokemon like "evolve/evolution" at least it was more interesting like "Digivolve/Digivolution", also, it didn’t have the kind of sound track that we’ve all come to love, I mean why would we want to hear some upbeat tune during a tense scene? The answer? We don’t, we loved the dubbed versions sound track cause it was more involved with the scene’s, what I mean is if it was a tense scene the music was tense, if the scene was sad, the music was sad; now we didn’t have words in almost every damn song, we had a rockin’ tune ready to hype us up for a kick ass battle, we didn’t want to hear lyrics during the "Digivolutions", and the company in charge of dubbing knew how to get a kids attention. Now I’m not completely knocking the Original version, I mean, it’s the original, and I’m sure there are people out there who love that version more, I’m just saying that the dubbed version was a much more stylistically appealing as well as readily available and much more serious about it’s delivery.
Therefore, in this case, the Dubbed version wins over the Subbed version in my opinion.
