Description: Mugen is a fierce animal-like warrior with a unique Bboying (break-dance) inspired fighting style. Jin has a more traditional style but don?t think of this as a weakness because his skills are amazing. The two contrasting samurai warriors are far from friends, yet their separate paths seem to cross anyways. Mugen is wandering aimlessly through the city when he stumbles upon a teahouse where he meets Jin and Fuu (A ditzy waitress, but don?t think she doesn?t have anything hidden up her sleeves). Fuu convinces them both to come with her in search of a mysterious samurai that smells like sunflowers and their journey begins. This modernized hip-hop tale breaks the barriers of the common, historical, samurai anime.

The most realistic samurai series I've seen to date. - By BatrozX

Samurai Champloo Reviewed by BatrozX

Of all samurai related anime series they add a LOT of fantasy in them, making all the action tasteless and hardly with any adrenaline. Samurai Champloo makes you feel that your watching an actual samurai duel in each episode with great choreography on all battles, an awesome hip hop soundtrack that completely blends in with the drawing style and the personality of the characters, hilarious moments, and a simple but yet epic plot once you get to see the last 3 episodes which are the best episodes on the whole 26 set. This anime series keeps everything with a realistic touch in a way that when fantasy arrives it doesn’t exaggerate itself. The thing that frustrates every one who’s seen the series is: "Why didn’t they make a movie out of this?" or "Why was the series so short?". Cowboy Beebop got a movie, why can’t Samurai Champloo? Anyway, once you see the series, you will end up wanting more than it had to offer, but it sadly…it lasts only 26 episodes…with no movie..
