vanguad is about a timid middle school boy who has no friends and no’s almost nothing about vanguard. till one day one of his classmates beats him up and steels his best card. when he tracks down the boy to a local card shop he learns the game from an old friend who he thought was gone and the story begins.

when i first saw the description for this anime i thought to my self wow, it a yugioh cop out. but after watching a few episodes i really like it.
