Yu-Gi-Oh! should really end now.

To be honest, I’ve only ever been a fan of the original Yu-Gi-Oh! series, 5D’s I could put up with, but this new Zexal series, just really ruins everything. The new cards are ridiculous - in terms of power and/or design and the whole atmosphere of the series is completely off i.e. very childish and Yuma having a similar personality to that of Naruto with the "i’ll-accomplish-all-things-impossible-no-matter-how-weak-I-am" attitude.
Basically, the whole thing is completely and utterly unnecessary like, Dragonball GT unnecessary and that Yu-Gi-Oh! itself, in my opinion, should have ended with the first series.
However, as there is actually a child playing "a children’s’ card game" (to quote YGOTAS) I do give credit to as it is more logical and comedic this way. But, this does take away the more serious element to it that drew older viewers to the original Yu-Gi-Oh! in the first place.
With that being said, I think that the new Zexal series is more aimed at younger viewers so, would most-likely be enjoyed by them and that Yu-Gi-Oh! seems to be taking the Pok?mon route.
