I wish Rurouni Kenshin was at least half as bloody as this. This is like a whole 'nother anime.

This is nothing at all like the series. I'm getting mixed messages, though -- it looks like the whole "killing is wrong" message is the same as before, only they make killing seem so utterly awesome you want to see what Kenshin does next! That's a little counter-productive to the theme, perhaps?

Unfortunately, I like this violent, no-holds-barred version of Kenshin better. In fact his pacifism is taken to silly and even dangerous levels in the series. It's unfortunate because somehow this OVA has to convince me that killing is bad enough to take an oath of Kenshin's magnitude. So far all I've been convinced of is that the animation budget is 12 times better and geysers of blood make me go "lol pwn."

I'm amazed that she could still speak after taking a katana through her throat.

I've been meaning to watch these OVA's for years and I should have watched them earlier... they're awesome! The story, fighting and battles are just epic =)

omg the ova really is violent and bloody... but i seem to have forgotten something while the seeing the series... this is how it really looks while fighting right...? this is wicked but strangely... i like it...! =)

so... who else hates it when they go to watch something and more than half of the links are broken but still up as if they work. people need to start reporting the broken links to save other people the time and trouble of searching for a working link.
