Soul didn't concentrate on his surroundings and got absorbed by Madness. Ironic, Death mentioned that near the beginning. So the Moral is Evil defeats Good?

Yes, like zorak commented, Soul is perhaps controlled by that annoying red imp. But now that Maka is there near the Soul that was controlled, then she can sterilize the puppet-Soul and get him back from that imp! After, all, she has an anti-demon wavelength soul. Perhaps she could also get the black blood out of Soul's veins then all will be well and good. As for the kishin, I find him very attractive when he looked human, but anyways, he's going to die, that's for sure. That's expected right, we're near the end already after all. Fight-o SOUL!!! ^_^
